![]() ![]() ![]() Inkscape has historically had the goal of only support SVG features. It's not like they're one man projects.Äownvote if you want Inkscape to lose its relevancy to paid software. I don't see why Krita and Blender can flourish but software like Inkscape and GIMP can languish so badly. Inkscape devs need to take a long hard look at the competition like Affinity Designer and Gravit and make a choice. I'm bored of interacting with a layer or option, only to use '-' to zoom out only for '-' to start appearing in the text box, then having to click the canvas several times to make sure everything is deselected and try again. No half-tone tool, in a vector art package!!! No gradient options except a straight, non-deformable gradient. There is no way to add texture to the artwork no textured strokes (big issue right here) or ways to create noise in fills like in Illustrator. It still has no animation functionality, which has been talked about for years and years now and has now had its lunch eaten by Dragonbones and similar software. is super old with some very confusing icons, the filters are super old, nobody is working on new ones and very few of the existing ones are of any real use. It hasn't modernised like Krita, it certainly hasn't modernised like Blender. ![]()
